So I have to admit I never expected to finish writing a book let alone publish one.
I’ve written plenty of short screenplays and poetry but I was far to self conscious to share most of it publicly. My poetry was very personal and admittedly a bit depressing. As for my screenplays they were for school and the characters weren’t really characters I connected to.
Writing a full length fiction novel was different for me. I got to create my own universe with my own rules. I got to make and solve conflicts on my terms and create complex characters that I cared about.
I’m still anxious and worried that it won’t be well received but I don’t regret it. Besides we all have to step out of comfort zones eventually.
